Coherence is the first of a line of synthesizer panels developed for German startup Metabolic Devices. The main challenge was to cohesively translate an informationally dense and complex array of functions visually, in order to allow full use without reliance on the limitations of language.
Design was highly iterative, with a visual logic quoting metro maps to efficiently express relationships and logic paths. Final panel graphics also serve as a framework for a visual and iconographic system (UI/UX) that will be deployed across an entire range of future products.
